I thought this movie was hilarious at times. Some jokes don’t land for me personally but saw this in a crowded theatre that was filled with people cracking up.
Keke Palmer & SZA are the hilarious together and the onscreen chemistry is off the charts. I can’t imagine how fun it must have been on set. The story is really one of them days, honestly the concept is so relatable. You just have one problem and all of a sudden you have a million in matter of hours. How those problems are dealt with can become such a funny ass adventure and can become stories you can reflect on. This movie definitely gives off that vibe.
The music is great, if you look at the soundtrack there’s nothing but heavy hitters, and I looked it up because I didn’t notice any of these songs but, no Best Friends by Saweetie from the trailer and no SZA songs? High key disappointing.
I enjoyed this movie thoroughly, I don’t think it’s as good as Friday but still, in my opinion it comes close, and will definitely be the Friday for gen z.
